I love to create, and the possibilities with jewelry design are endless and gratifying. My favorite pieces are unique and easy to wear whether alone or stacked with other beloved whatnots. To me, good jewelry is worn to a local burger joint and on another day paired with a blazer for a business meeting.
I enjoy mixing old with new, modern with traditional and metals with wood and that easy attitude shows up in my jewelry. Currating beads, charms, pendants and cabachons run the gammut from bead shows to estate sales to friends of friends jewelry boxes. Inspiration is found everywhere and the best jewelry is worn.
Henrietta was my grandmother. She lived to 99 and had 7 children and 33 grandchildren. She was a strong woman, mostly serious and purposeful who set a great example of loving without conditions and doing right by others so you could hold your head high. She also had a little collection of costume jewelry that provided hot South Texas summer afternoons in the house, with joyful make-believe play.
